Overexcited?

Okay, so twice now I've noticed (both times when I'm coming home from school), Jersey's privates tend to harden and swell up at the base. He's neutered so why is this happening and what does it mean? Should I take him to the vet? Like I said it happens whenever I come home from being away for a while or in the morning when I take him out of the crate.

lol its nothing to worry about, its just excitement. some dogs it happens when the poo, others it can happen if they are just sitting. lol their is nothing you can do about it. other than maybe ignore him so he doesn't get excited when you come in.

to be honest as long as he isn't humping its not an issue, its a boy thing sometimes it just pops up lol that is one of the reasons i like my girls lol they don't have embarrassing bits like that lol

but its not something you need the vet for, i bet if you ask any boy dog owner and they will tell you the same.

Ok thanks! He is humping everynight. But just his pillow. Is that ok?

depend on what you think of it, some people just let them get on with it, me peronaly i dont like it but thats just me. if it doesnt bother you then let him do it.

Cocoa is neutered too & the same thing happens when I wake him up and sometimes when I get home.. it's nothing to worry about lol & as for the humping, we stop it, but like Kendal said, it's more of a personal choice :)
