Hi everyone,
We are hoping to get a cockapoo puppy and was wondering if anybody as a puppy from Happytails in Nottingham? Looks like an active forum.... Thanks, Jo

Hi and welcome to the forum. I don't have experience with happy tails. I have had a quick look at the web site but it doesn't tell you anything about them or their practises so make sure you ask plenty of questions before commiting to a puppy. Are they bred in the home? Are parents health tested? Do the puppies come with a promise of support if and when needed? Are pups kept with mum til 8 weeks? What is their breeding experience? How many litters do they breed a year? how many dogs do they keep?
A good breeder will welcome all the questions you can throw at them.
Also it is a great idea to visit a few breeders to compare what you find, if that is possible that will help in your search greatly.

I don't have experience with Happytails either, but definitely ask lots of questions as Karen has said :) Especially health testing! At least one parents should be tested (if the pup is just wanted as a pet) preferably both parents if you would like to breed with the pup as it is more likely the pup won't be a carrier if neither parents are etc...
What cocker x poodle mix are you after? & colour/sex etc? :)

Hi Jowetzel, We went to look there a couple of years ago and all seemed ok we have also met someone with a lovely chocolate puppy from there and it was a lovely dog and they have had no problems. If you are looking in the Nottingham area we got our Holly from Ollerton and highly recommend them, she is a lovely lady.

Also, we are led to believe that the Happytail puppies are half brothers/sisters to Reg who's pic is on the Mis Fit Treats, and he is a lovely looking dog.

Yes, my oldest, Poppy is from Happytails. She is a wonderfull dog with a fantastic nature. She is a Working Cocker Toy Poodle cross. Her mother is Coco, and dad Ozzie, both great natured dogs too, just wanted to sit on your knee and be stroked. Simon had no problem with us visiting him and we had the choice of two litters, Poppy was four weeks old when we picked her and took her home at ten weeks.
