Yesterday a basset hound came lolloping (only way to describe a Basset Hounds run!) over to Lolly while we were on our early walk at the park. We've met him before but always with a local dog walker. Well his owner came over to say hello and it was an actress from Holby. She said how lovely Lolly was and we passed a few doggy pleasantries before going on our way. Of course I acted very cool !!!

It got me wondering whether anyone else has met anyone famous out walking their dog?

When I was a little girl I met Anita Harris on the beach in Bournmouth with her Afghan Hound, and Roy Hudd :D Oh, and I met Mike and Bernie Winters with the big St. Bernard. Not very impressive now, but it was at the time!

I've not met anyone famous out walking Betty, or not anyone I recognised!!! Ali Bastian from Hollyoaks and Strictly was going to have a puppy from the same litter as Betty but the timing wasn't right for her so she waited a year and now has a Cavapoo. We were texting each other when she was going to have a cockapoo as the breeder had mentioned we both lived not far apart so Ali asked her to give me her number and we had been planning dog walks together. Would have been nice to see how one of Betty's litter had grown up.

I went to Michael Attenborough (son of Richard)/Jane Seymour's wedding as he was a friend at uni. Got a salad dressing recipe from Susan George and Simon MacCorkindale in a pub near here, talked to Carolyn Quentin at the local train station and met Jane Asher with her hubby Gerald Scarfe in Riga. none of them had dogs with them! Oh and met John Mayal in a blues club when I was 17.

Not yet as obv Vincent can't go walkies...
But we're going to be taking him down to Wilmslow for walks as there are some beautiful parks there and as far as I can tell most of Man U and Man City players live around there so I guess it is possible!

I have met countless people from Corrie in Manchester, the girl who plays Fizz (the ginger one? I don't watch it!!!) her dad rent an office in the same office building as me so I've seen her quite a lot!

Oh an I met Dragons Den when they were filming the start sequence of last years series.... I stalked them until I could get a photo!! Peter is H-U-G-E

Surely this has to be a winner! Getting your dog flown round by Prince Andrew is a pretty good claim! :)

My family is friends with Simon Weston (Falklands Veteran) and this summer he told me Nacho was not manly looking enough for a male dog. Next thing I know, he's got him snuggled up on his lap and letting him tuck into our bbq sausages.

You can't help love a cockapoo even if your a rottie lover!

I chatted to Paul Opacic, from Hollyoaks, he owns the pub and used to be in Emmerdale, I started talking about his Afgan hound before he was near enough to realise who he was but did nt cotton on that i recognised him. Not into flattering celebs would walk past a big a lister rather than gush, but if a dog was invovled might not be able to help myself x

If you want to celeb spot - come to Edinburgh during the festival! I had a chat with Billy Connelly in Princes St gardens one year :) Also spotted on the street - Alan Davies, Bill Bailey, Peter Kay, Terence Stamp, "Lexy" from Monarch of the Glen (my niece told me who she was!) and Kate who won Big Brother - both in Harvey Nicks. JK Rowling's daughter was at my kids' school, so I used to see her quite a bit.
My niece works for Rays of Sunshine, a charity that grants wishes to terminally ill and profoundly disabled kids, and she spends lots of time with JLS and now One Direction, and meets famous people all the time. She's usually very cool about it, but did embarrass herself in front of Helen Bonham Carter by telling her how much she admired her!

Oh do let us know when. I entered and got telephone interviewed for ages. They didn't want me :( Probably because I said I'm too chilled out when cooking and unphased by cooking for 5 people. I'm glad I didn't make it on in the end, when they aired the St Albans one, one man in particular was quite aggressive and wound everyone up - I would have ended up giving him a slap!

Oh, don't be offended, Izzy looks like a scruffy rat every day, as soon as she jumps in puddles/sea :D But when she's clean and fluffy she's beautiful, and I love her however she looks. I was looking at her today, and she's looking like she's going to look like I wanted my dog to look like when she grows up :D Thanks Julia, for pairing us up :)

Thats really sweet Ali! I have to say before i looked into the Cockapoo,i was in love with working cockers as my friend has a stunning choc girl, but decided that this breed may be just a little too exuberant for me! And Pixie just looks exactly like a wavy (scruffy!!! ha ha)version of her mum Mia,who is so pretty, she is def more spaniel looking so she is perfect for me:) Buffy looks totally different and is so stunning, little round face, really wavy soft coat, perfect cockapoo in my eyes, and she was the runt of the litter so it just goes to show!...

SORRY TO CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF THE THREAD!!!:focus: X

Many moons ago I met Terry Venables and Gary Linaker in a bar in Spain.

Also bumped into several Eastender celebs, either in the street or at the gym. Embarrassingly I said hello to 'Sharon' & 'Michele' once as we passed in the street, the sort of hello when you know someone but don't stop for a chat. I did it so automatically before realising they were TV celebs and not just people I know :o

My own claim to fame - Weakest Link, got kicked off in the 4th round, the chap who had the casting vote said I was too much of a threat :D

Also been on an obscure TV game show called TV Scrabble with my son who was 11 at the time. Again, embarrassingly, we had to do a head to head with the opp team to go through to the next round. Charlie let me play so we could get through, the other team chose their 11 year old daughter  I thrashed an 11 year old :o, no choice, it was that or be thrashed by an 11 year old ;)

Oh i forgot a very good celeb meeting that most of you ladies will like. I was a member at quite a posh gym for a few years and Daniel Craig was a regular user in the gym, i even had to run on the treadmill next to him once!! At the same gym i chatted to Twiggy (in the changing rooms!!!!) and also met a number of top tennis players inculding Novak Djokovic (who owns a poodle who wasn't with him but is half related to our lovely dogs!!!) as he played at a tournament there.
