Cherry is a Staffy pup approx 5 months old and was found tied to a fence. She had a broken front leg and was handed in to the Vets that my friend and Flyball boss lady (captain) Emma is the head nurse. Her leg had started to heal but as it was not set properly it had to be amputated.

Emma organized the operation to save her from being put to sleep and the cost off the op has been payed for in part by fund raising. and now Cherry lives with Emma and Dave and their little group of animals all rescues. Emma says it goes with being a vet nurse.

Cherry is a loverly little Staffy and so happy and friendly, Emma doesn't think she had been badly treated, more likely the owner could not afford the vet bills.

Well last weekend was spent at a Flyball competition, a three day event at Drax in Yorkshire. In between our races Rosie and Cherry had a great time running around and playing. You would not believe that she only lost her leg 3 weeks ago.
This is just a short video of what they got up too, would have taken more but I had taken my camera but left the battery behind, this was taken on a mobile.

Awwww bless her, having just three legs doesn't seem to affect her at all, which is great :D

They looked to be having a lovely time and thank goodness Cherry was rescued and now has a lovely home.

Gosh Colin what a great little dog, what a lovely story with a lovely outcome for Cherry, who'd have thought it was only 3 weeks on since surgery. Rosie looks to have grown, how did Fly ball go? Why was Poppy on a lead wa she after somones dinner ;)

We had all the dogs on lead or in their crates just in case it got to much for Cherry.
Poppy did go visiting a couple of times but no one complained about stolen sandwiches.
Going to do a thread about the Flyball.
