Hi Everyone,

Last night my friend was at her grandmothers, and the next door neighbor had heard crying from a puppy, they went outside and wandering in their completely fenced in yard was this puppy. There was no way he wasn't just abandoned.
He was also completely covered in fleas.

So I have some questions
1) what kind of dog do you think that he is?
2) how old do you think that he is?

yah that is what I was thinking....poor little guy...I don't know why anyone would just leave a dog in someone elses back yard

Ahh look at his cute little nose ...

No idea of the breed.. but Kendal see lots of dogs so with go with a Collie Cross.

he looks young and cute ... 3 months maybe

Where is he now ?

My friend brought him home....they are going to keep him as long as no one reports him as missing.

I'd be inclined to agree with Kendal and say a collie type puppy. It doesn't look very old, a couple of months maybe? Very cute and how could someone just abandon a puppy. x

I know! and aparently he is very well behaved for his age....he slept all night till 9 am no accidents and not in a crate as they were obviously not prepared to be having a puppy. he was good in the bath too...but the poor boy was covered in fleas.

Does your friend have dogs already? That's lovely that they are going to keep him.

He looks quite a relaxed puppy given that he'd been abandoned.

That is so lovely of your friend.... he is very cute .. maybe it was just meant to be ... a play mate for Lady too :)

I am shocked someone would just leave a puppy like that ...

Please keep us posted Amanda.. if your friend does end up keeping him .. a pic of Lady and him would be nice :)

Poor little pup .. covered in fleas...

He's good sleeper then, that confirms he's not a cockapoo puppy ..

Oh yes wait for him to be clear of fleas .. you dont want lady with fleas ...

Great Pic Kendal..

Have they got a name of him or are they trying not to get too attached just in case an owner turns up .... not that the owner deserves him, covered in fleas and in someone elses yard.. not exactly good owners ...

They named him, and are already quite attached....tho their 3 cats are not such big fans of him...lol....they have named him Max....they bought him food and flea treatments last night...but litterally have nothing else for him....not even a leash....which he doesn't seem to need as he is already attached too, and won't stray farther than 3 feet. poor little guy.

Maxie??? How old did you think she was from seeing her??

I am sure she is only 9-11 weeks old tops, the poor thing, but she was good and chunky in her tummy not too skinny at all..she did have alot of bites on her body, but her ears were clear, her teeth were all there, none had fallen out yet. she had a perfect temperament. It is unbelievable that someone would just abandon a little girl like that. Her eyes were nice and clear and free of gunk...now I am not a vet or an expert by any means but i would say other than the fleas she was in perfect health...they said she was very dirty when they got her too.

Don't pups get a big belly if they have worms? Maybe they should get her treated just in case?

Lovely pup bless her, glad she found someone quickly :)
