Does anyone know of any good beaches around the east coast or slightly further up what dogs are allowed on at this time of year?? :)

Hi Kelly - Winterton is lovely and dog friendly - as a small cafe and toilets etc. Hemsby is ok and a friend takes her dog to Oulton Broad though I have never been there! Southwold is another lovely place and again is dog friendly! My geography is rubbish so you may not mean where I have said but it is the east coast :D

Hi

The beaches around Skegness, Mablethorpe etc all have areas either side of the main tourist part where you can walk your dogs. We have taken Eddie to Anderby Creek where there is a nice pub/cafe with a dog friendly beer garden and also Chapel St Leonards, Mablethorpe, Skegness and Sutton on Sea. As long as you avoid the main sea front area there is plenty of parking and places to eat and signs down the sea front that tell you which parts you can take your dog on.

Hi

Just found this on the tinternet if anyone is interested? You have to pay but might be worth it - is anyone a member already and is it any good?

http://www.dogfriendly.co.uk/home/

They also do an iphone app - might give it a go but not expecting a lot of info for Lincolnshire!

I am getting old with you then JoJo as we used to go to Southwold every year for our holidays and stayed in a lovely fishermans cottage but all Madeleine and I wanted was one of the pink beach huts on the front :D

Hi there
I live in Gorleston (near Great Yarmouth) and there is alot of beach at Gorleston seafront for dogs. The first few sections are out of bounds but further along is a whole long stretch of beach and cliffs for doggies to explore...it is a nice beach too.xxx
