Went out for a lovely walk with Rufus and Zoe to Pyrford Common this evening. It was beginning to drizzle so I kept to the wooded area. My retired greyhound, Zoe, often hangs back these days just enjoying smells etc. I called her and, as occasionally happens, she broke into a run. Rufus gets so excited by Zoe running and powers alongside her. I could hear them thundering behind me. As I turned to look, Rufus smashed into me and sent me flying! The next thing I knew I was flat on my back looking up at the sky through the trees! ......Was there anyone around to have a good laugh with me? .......or to run and see if I was ok? Not a soul. I rang hubby Gareth for some sympathy and he made all the right noises so I felt much better. Funnily enough Rufus stuck to my side for the next five minutes. I think he was quite concerned! I tell you what ...he's a solid dog!
